The result was announced during trading hours today, 6 February 2012.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 71.71 points, or 0.41%, to 17,676.67.
On BSE, 8.05 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 87,788 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 65.10 and a low of Rs 60.70 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 48 on 24 November 2011. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 120.38 on 14 March 2011.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month until 3 February 2012, gaining 18.38% compared with the Sensexs 10.45% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 1.76% as against 0.70% rise in the Sensex.
The large-cap state-run aluminium maker has an equity capital of Rs 1288.62 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.
National Aluminium Company, which is known by its acronym Nalco, manufactures and distributes aluminum products. Government of India held 87.15% stake in the company as on 31 December 2011.
